Come along and meet our friendly team and enjoy shopping with a personal touch - we are based on the A96 near Inverness airport.

Who we are...

Catherine

Catherine Bunn - Director of Highland Campers Ltd and founder of Highland Campervans - and the person who oversees all areas of the business. Catherine is one of those people who is always busy and never ask Cath if there's a job to be done - she's sure to find you three! Catherine has camped and caravanned since very young, and still insists on getting time away in all of the hire fleet to make sure everything is working as it should be and is providing what customers need. She stills loves the great outdoors and whilst juggling the business growth with a young family - two boys still under school age - Catherine is very passionate about Highland Campervans. Little-known fact: Catherine is also an active member of the Federation of Small Businesses and sits on several committees to speak up for the small business community.

Steve

Stephen Bunn - Director and the 'other half' of the family business who helps keep the hire fleet in a tip top condition and on the road. If you have any questions about the mechanics of campervans Steve is the man to speak to! Steve also runs the servicing workshop and is fully qualified for all work he carries out on Caravans, Motorhomes and Campervans, with a range of qualifications from the Caravan Industry. He has overseen the conversion of the old dairy farms at Kerrowaird into a workshop, with a dedicated bay for building campervans and another area for servicing. Stephen has also converted campervans for Wellhouse and now builds our very own campervan hire fleet! He's a dab hand at joinery, electrics, gas and plumbing so is very well suited to this kind of work where you need to be good at a multitude of skills! Little-known fact: Steve also has a PhD in Tree Physiology!

Hades

Hades - Chief mouse-catcher and guardian of the workshop. Hades joined the Highland Campervans team in 2010 and works very hard at keeping small creatures away from the farm buildings. Adopted from a rescue centre who were struggling to find a home for his 'anti-social' tendencies, Hades joined the business with his bed in the barns. He has since decided that Kerrowaird Farm and Highland campervans is his ideal home - and his anti-social tendencies have completely disappeared! Hades is an outdoor cat and is not supposed to be inside the reception or campervans - please feel free to nudge him outside if he sneaks his way in!

Elaine

Elaine de Ste Croix - General Assistant and Customer Care Manager. Elaine has been with Highland Campervans almost from the start and is a long-term member of the Highland Campervans family! Elaine focuses mainly on the hire fleet and helps look after customer bookings and feedback. A busy mum of three, Elaine is also our 'Green' ambassador and Customer Care manager and helps ensure that everything we do at Highland Campervans makes the smallest impact on the environment as possible, whilst providing the best customer service possible. Elaine leads an active lifestyle with her family and has lived in Scotland all her life.

Stef

Stefanie McManus - General Assistant and Emergency First Aider. Stefanie is another long-standing member of the Highland Campers team. Stef looks after the hire fleet and bookings dept in the main, although she also helps cover all areas of the business. Stefanie works part time and is another busy mum juggling work and childcare. Stefanie grew up in Inverness, although she has travelled all over Scotland and headed south for university days. Always smiling, Stef is a great ambassador for Highland Campers and works lots of odd hours to ensure that we can offer as flexible a service as possible to our hire customers. She also ensures that the campervans are meticulously cleaned between each hire and upholds the Highland Campers principle that each hirer should feel they are the very first person to use the campervan. Little-known fact: Stef also knows British Sign Language.

Greg

Greg Hamer - Workshop Technician - Joining the team in early 2011, Greg has thrown himself into his new role and is a great support to Stephen in the workshop. Fresh from a college course in vehicle mechanics, Greg rapidly learnt about the safety elements of motorhomes and caravans and has worked his way through industry exams to become qualified in gas and electrical work. Greg also helps Stephen build our campervans and with the two chaps together in the workshop, ideas for customised 'Scottish campers' continue to grow. Greg also didn't realise when he started that his job also involved a 'build your own workshop' project, but he has completed every task with a cheerful smile and is now also an expert at painting barns. He has worked very hard with Stephen to help get the new workshop up and running.

Becky

Becky - Accounts and Payroll Assistant - Becky is a part-time member of the team and generally helps with business accounts and ensuring the staff are paid each month. A caravanner by nature, Becky loves to get away with her family in their own caravan to family-friendly campsites around the Highlands. Becky also helps Highland Campervans keep up-to-date with HMRC rules and regulations, along with employment legislation and working time directives - who knew there could be so much to cover when running a small business!

Neil - Accounts Manager - Neil joined the team in summer 2011 to help Catherine and Stephen keep a financial eye on the growing business. With huge investments in the workshop and shop, Neil looks at the numbers behind the scenes and checks that each area of the business is healthy and growing steadily. An invaluable asset to any business!

Jake

Jake - General Assistant (Saturdays). Only to be found on a Saturday or at exhibitions/shows, Jake is the most junior member of the Highland Campers team, although no-less important. Jake helps with campervan turnarounds at the weekends and is a dab hand with car wash and sponge! He also attends college and is currently studying for his Scottish Highers.

Lorraine - Shop Manager. Having joined in the summer of 2011, Lorraine went straight into the role of Shop Manager, looking after shop stock and dealing with customer enquires. As another busy working mum, Lorraine works part time, although she loves her job so much she often has to be reminded that home-time is fast approaching! Lorraine has already got lots of ideas and visions for the shop, and has seen Highland Campers become firmly established on the industry map with a whole range of suppliers.

Over the years we have all camped, caravanned, hostelled and hotelled, so we're sure that having tried lots of options ourselves, we have equipped our campervans to provide an excellent base vehicle for your travels.

So there you have it, now available from the heart of the Highlands is a friendly motorhome & campervan hire, sales and servicing business just waiting to help you enjoy all the delights that Scotland has to offer. If you need some advice on mountaineering, low-level walks, sightseeing options or how to fit a family into a campervan, please have a look at our website and if you can't find the answer just phone us on 01667 493976. We look forward to hearing from you.
