Why Campervans?

There were several reasons why we decided to rent campervans. One was that when we had a friend visit from the USA, we wanted to go mountain biking, climbing and hillwalking, but there was no way that three adults and all our kit was going to fit in the back of our tiny Astra! Despite looking around for a vehicle to hire, we just couldn't find anything suitable.

The final decision was taken after a weekend of winter hillwalking and climbing on the Isle of Skye. We'd had a great day in the hills but then the rain set in for the night. All we wanted was somewhere to sit, cook food and have a drink, which didn't involve crawling into a tiny tent! With a new family on the way we decided that the time had come for the Highlands to offer vehicles that suited the terrain and the people who came to visit.
