The Explorer Van...

The Explorer Van is ideal for couples and those who want a vehicle for a weekend break. It is perfect for travelling along the narrowest Scottish roads, but still has space for all the outdoor equipment that most people want to take.

The electronic elevating roof creates extra space when needed at the touch of a button, but otherwise can stay down to create a streamlined campervan.

Other features:

Sitting Area - Although there are four seatbelts in this van it is ideal for one, two or three persons. There is comfortable space for two on the rear seat and the front passenger seat slides forward which creates a third seat for use when the campervan is parked. We think four adults would be a tight squeeze in the Explorer Van, although if necessary someone could jump up in the hatch area and look down from above, or take the awning for extra space.

Sleeping Area - There is a comfortable rock n' roll pull-out double bed in the main van which a double-duvet fits nicely. The bed area is approx 5'8" x 4'. If you're able-bodied and happy to jump up through the hatch, there is a double bed area in the elevating roof section as well which is about 6'6" x 4'. It's best to use single sleeping bags in the roof though as you need to move apart to get the hatch door open.

Elevating Roofs - The tent section in the elevating roof has midge-proof netting sewn in which ensures the summer evening breeze can still be enjoyed with the roof up. If you also prefer to keep the headroom in the campervan but need extra beds, then you can book a Kyham awning which aside from providing a large amount of extra space, has its own inner tent creating an alternative double sleeping area.

Vehicle Interior - Each van has been professionally converted to a high standard. With a fridge, cooker and sink area you can easily whip up a gourmet feast even in the remotest area!
