1. The standard insurance cover is for one named driver. We can add additional drivers up to a maximum of three.

2. Gear Storage Box Our external gear storage box is a 'bak-rak' aluminium box which fits securely onto the towbar. The box can be locked with a key keeping your gear safe and the lid is specially foam stiffened to prevent leverage access. It is also effectively waterproof. It's ideal for dirty outdoor gear or climbing ropes which you don't want to store in the van.

3. Bike RackThe bike rack also fits onto the towbar of the campervan and holds two bikes as standard but can be extended to hold up to four bikes. If you would like to hire bikes for your holiday please look at our Special Offers page as we have teamed up with a local bicycle hire company to provide discounted rental rates for Highland Campervans customers. Please note two bicycles can be stowed on the rack without extra straps, but a full rack of four bikes does require extra support straps to be attached to the campervan.

4. Using an extender rack, you can also have the combination of the gear box and a bike rack for 2 bikes. Perfect for taking a bike to access those remote Munros whilst still having space for all your mountaineering kit! Please note that extra straps must be secured to the door of the campervan to help bear the weight of the box and bikes on the rack.

5. Our external Khyam awning is perfect for family holidays or large groups where the extra space outside the van will give you all a bit more freedom. The awning is easy to put up and is regarded as the 'gold standard' of campervan awnings. It comes with a groundsheet and an internal sleeping compartment for 2 persons (optional). It fits onto the side of all our campervans with simple clips, but to drive away, just roll up the extension porch and leave the tent on your pitch. The poles are permanently attached to the tent shell, and with just eight connection joints to get the tent from folded to erect there really isn't an easier campervan awning to use.

6. Travelling with children? Please give us a call to see how we can help you plan ahead. We have a selection of car seats available depending upon your child's age but if you would prefer to use your own seat please speak to us first, as some styles of seats fit better than others in the campervans. We also have a travel booster seat (with tray) to provide seating for little ones at mealtimes and a Samsonite pop-up moses basket suitable for babies. With a young family ourselves we know how much extra luggage children can create so please speak to us to see how we can help.

7. Duvets and sleeping bags are both available to hire so please let us know if you have a preference. We can also supply blankets if required.

8. The Satellite navigation system is a TomTom One XL. It is extremely easy to use and can be programmed in advance or during your trip. We will of course show you how to use it and we can help programme in your main route so you don't need to worry about adding too much information if you're not particularly fond of gadgets.

9. Pre-loaded Fridge. (Free service). For most people, the thought of starting a holiday with a trip to a busy supermarket isn't particularly appealing, so why not let us pre-load your fridge and cupboards for you? You place your order with Tesco.com (sorry but it's the only store to deliver in Inverness) and we will put your shopping in the van for you.

If you think the above sounds perfect for you then please follow these basic rules:

You must pay the total cost of the order yourself, online, when you order it. The delivery must be sent to our business address and a time selected of between 4-6pm on the day before you collect your vehicle. If you are arriving late in the day it may be possible for us to accept an order that morning but please phone us to discuss delivery times. You must tell us that you've placed an order else we won't know it's arriving and may be out.

Although there is a fridge and cupboard space, Scotland does have plenty of shops so you will be able to top-up your groceries during your trip. Please don't order so much food that we have to add the gear box on the back just to fit it all in! Highland Campervans accepts no responsibility for any products supplied through online supermarket orders which may be damaged, incorrect, substituted or missing.

10. Highland Campervans is proud to support 'Trees for Life', a local charity working hard to replant the native Caledonian Pine forests. Highland Campervans sponsors a company grove and in addition to the donation we make yearly, customers can help support this charity by making a donation to plant a tree, supporting the beautiful Scottish environment they travel through in a campervan.
