To get an idea of the layout of the vans we've put some pictures below. To skip the Explorer Van and see pictures of the Touring Van click here. Details of the Voyager and Adevnture Van will be coming soon...

Inside the Explorer Van

The campervan has a two burner gas hob and a sink with an electric tap. There is worktop space at the side and top lockers above to store cutlery and food. A table can also be used for work space. We also provide a folding toaster which can be used on the hob.

There are on-board storage tanks for both fresh and waste water. Although the tanks are sterilised and should be suitable for drinking/cleaning teeth, we recommend you buy bottled drinking water. The hob is run on gas stored in a purpose-built gas locker.

There is a large locker underneath the worktop area which we use for storing all the plates and cooking equipment. The campervan is fully equipped to cater for four persons.

Above the work surface there is a 240v plug socket which works when connected to an electric hook-up on a campsite. There is also a 12V socket which runs off a separate leisure battery. The control dial for the campervan heater is also conveniently located here.

Inside the elevated roof showing the access hatch and bed area. Close the hatch to make a double bed. The sides of the roof tent unzip so you can enjoy the views, but the midge net keeps the insects out.

The double bed area in the roof is approx 6'6" x 4' but we recommend using single sleeping bags as you need to move to the side to open and close the hatch.

The 'rock 'n' roll' bed is simple to make. Just pull the rear row of seats forward and the bed is ready. Throw on a duvet and sheets for a comfortable nights sleep.

Please note that because the Explorer Van is more compact than the Touring and Voyager Vans, the rock n' roll bed is approx 5'8"x 4'.

Inside the Explorer Van the front passenger seat slides forward and a rear-facing seat folds down. It means that three people can comfortably sit and chat in the campervan in the evening.

If there are four people using the van, we recommend you consider taking the awning and deck chairs for extra space.

Underneath the rear seat is more space to store clothing etc. We recommend emptying clothes directly into the storage area and leaving big bags behind as you can fit a lot more into the campervan and it makes the campervan feel more 'homely'!

Child seats fits safely and securely onto the rear seat using the three-point seat belts. Please note that this is a campervan conversion so the seat has been modified from the original metal one.

Fridge space is reasonable and can hold enough for a few days supply. Note that we offer a free 'pre-loaded fridge' service where you order and pay for your shopping online, but get it delivered to our address and we stock the van up for you. If it saves a trip to the supermarket it's got to be good!

Underneath the sink is a further storage area. If booked the porta-potti fits neatly in the cupboard, but otherwise it's more space for boots etc. We also provide an electric kettle if you plan on using the electric hook-up facilities available at most campsites.

Basic cleaning items such as tea-towels, dishcloths and biodegradable washing-up liquid are provided as part of the hire.

There is plenty of space at the rear of the campervan to store boots and bags. We provide levelling-ramps which are really easy to use and can make a big difference on some of the remote camping spots.

If you have a lot of equipment or plan on getting muddy and dirty please consider taking the external storage box which fits onto the tow-bar. Waterproof seat covers are available for the front seats free of charge, please ask when booking.

The narrow Scottish roads are no problems for our campervans as the vehicles are just as slim as most family cars.

Inside the Touring Van

Looking in through the sliding side door to the main van there is a large food storage locker next to the rear seat. Above the work surface there is a 240v plug socket which works when connected to an electric hook-up on a campsite. There is also a 12V socket which runs off a separate leisure battery.

The control dial for the campervan heater is also conveniently located here. The heater runs off the diesel fuel tank and will get the van toasty warm in a matter of minutes. No need to worry about wrapping up in the van on winter days!

The kitchen items are conveniently stored in a cupboard underneath the cooker. The campervan is fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils for a family of four.

Basic cleaning items such as tea-towels, dishcloths and biodegradable washing-up liquid are provided as part of the hire.

The sink is on the left and a two burner gas hob on the right. There is also a folding toaster which can be used on the stove, so you can start the day with a hearty breakfast and plenty of toast!

There are on-board storage tanks for both cooking and waste water and although the tanks are sterilised and should be suitable for drinking/cleaning teeth, we recommend you buy bottled drinking water.

When parked, the front passenger seat swivels around to face into the main cabin. With three seats on the back row it means four people can sit and chat comfortably in the van.

Note that it is also possible to move from the front to the rear of the van without going outside. Especially important if it's cold or wet...

The 'rock 'n' roll' bed is simple to make. Just pull the rear row of seats forward and the bed is ready. Throw on a duvet and sheets for a comfortable nights sleep.

There is more storage space under the rear seat. Child seats fit safely and securely onto the rear seat, but please note that this is a campervan conversion so the seat has been modified from the original metal one.

Fridge space is reasonable and can hold enough for a few days supply. Note that we offer a free 'pre-loaded fridge' service where you order and pay for your shopping online, but get it delivered to our address and we stock the van up for you. If it saves a trip to the supermarket it's got to be good!

At the back of the van is a wardrobe which has a hanging rail for clothes or you can stack lots of bags inside it.

Underneath the wardrobe and accessed via the back door is a purpose-built safety locker for storing camping gas.

If you're travelling with a family or simply want to be able to have a little more space, why not consider taking the awning and deck chairs as an extra?

The awning also has a 2-berth inner tent to create plenty of bedding options or it could just be a large space to store pushchairs and bicycles overnight.

A rear view of the van with the elevating roof up and the awning attached. There are mesh nets in the elevating roof to stop the midges getting in, even if you unzip the outer layer for the view.

The permanent four-wheel drive system also provides extra grip on the Highland roads and in muddy campsites, however our campervans are not designed for off-road use.
