This award highlights the company’s commitment to the well-being and fair treatment of its team, celebrating the dedication Highland Campervans has shown in creating a supportive and enriching work environment. Our application showcased the many benefits our staff members enjoy—demonstrating how deeply Highland Campervans values its employees.
The Real Living Wage Awards recognise organisations across the UK that are leading the way in paying the real Living Wage, a commitment to paying employees fairly and supporting their financial well-being. This year, Highland Campervans stood out, not only for adhering to these wage standards but also for our team-centered approach, with our application highlighting how the company goes above and beyond in supporting staff members.
Highland Campervans has long prioritised well-being initiatives designed to support team members in all aspects of life. 1. **36 hour week** – We recognise that life outside of work is important, so we offer our team a 36 hour week to help balance their personal and professional commitments.
2. **Mental Health Support** – Recognising the importance of mental well-being, Highland Campervans provides access to an on-line counseling service, ensuring that employees have the resources they need to manage stress and maintain their mental health. This service is also available to immediate family.
3. **Physical Health Initiatives** – Highland Campervans encourages employees to stay active and prioritise their physical health with a discounted membership to Highlife Highland which operates several fitness centres in the Highlands. 6. **Menopause Policy** - This benefit shows there is tremendous awareness of menopause symptons. This is particularly respectful to women experiencing menopause symptons. Knowing that adjustments can be put in place to improve working conditions is very reassuring for staff.
